Dear Sir/ Madam,

We are glad to inform you that NAAC sponsored National Seminar cum Workshop on Improving Quality of Teaching and Learning in Classroom is going to be held at Udupi under the auspices of the Total Quality Management Centre of the College during 22-23rd March, 2004. We would like to welcome you and your colleagues to participate in the seminar as delegates.

Mahatma Gandhi Memorial College

The Mahatma Gandhi Memorial College known as M. G. M. College for short, founded by the pioneering founder of College of higher education in the country, the late Dr. T. M. A. Pai in the year 1949, has, after more than five decades of continuous growth and development, attained the informal status of a mini-university with its programmes in diverse fields of education and culture. Recently the College submitted itself to the process of Assessment by the NAAC and was awarded with  B++ grade.

The College is relentlessly persuing other cherished tradition and culture which the NAAC Peer Team recently emphasized:-

“M.G.M. College, Udupi conveys an optimistic message of how a growth-oriented educational institution can bring about rapid transformation of an extremely backward rural area through a dynamic process of educational & cultural activities.  For a little more than 5 decades, the M.G.M. College has served as the focal point in the all-round development of Udupi region.  Cherishing & cultivating a chain of academic institutions of different hues, but serving the basic cause of educating minds, is indeed rare among the Indian Affiliated Colleges.  M.G.M.College has given a larger dimension to the concept of affiliated College” (NAAC PEER TEAM, September 2003).

It is in conformity with the tradition of continuous effort for the promotion of knowledge acquisition and improvement of standards, that the College has taken the initiative of organizing  a two day National level seminar for teachers on 22nd and 23rd March 2004.

The College extends a warm welcome to participating teachers and wishes them a successful participation resulting in enlightenment and motivation to improve the quality of their teaching.
